Towed Car Comes Loose - A Plus For Auxiliary Braking System

I attended a seminar that recommended you adjust the brake a way cable so it's 3 to 4 Inches shorter then the safety cables. So in the event that the toad comes unattached the toad brakes come on before the safety cables become tight and the toad will be braking as you pull to the side of the road. It may have worked in this case as the toad pulled to the side.
