towed mileage

Ford ranger man 4wd. Just did 2 mo in ak and ca, great rig.

Almost? Any vehicle with an electronic odometer. I would think almost anything post Y2K

Most do not register the miles they accumulate. Odometers have been electronic for a number of years now (goes back at least to beginning of OMDB II standards) and most register accumulated mileage only with the ignition turned on.

My HHR does not record mileage while being towed. Even with ACC on, #8 fuze not pulled, or the BB plugged into the 12v outlet.

I used to keep the key turned on my 2000 wrangle because I thought it had a steering wheel lock, and it never accumulated mileage.
