I tow my F150 Super Crew short bed with a Club Car Precedent electric cart in the back. Rear wheels of the golf car rest on the tailgate so I use the DG tailgate supports. They are easy to install and remove and seem to really support the gate.
I mounted some nice chrome trimmed oval LED tail lights on the bumper of the truck to avoid having to wire into the existing truck lighting system.
