First: When I read the subject line my initial though was "A Silverado 1500 would be a bit more than a golf car can tow"
Now... Yes, you can use a diode kit to combine the truck's lights with the Motor honmes. They can be purchased already made up for most any vehicle, There is a connector under the dash on the driver's side (may be hidden behind a panel) you unplug the two halves, plug the plug into the socket on the diode kit, plug the diode kit into the socket just vacated, route the wires to the front and job done.
Alternate would be a light bar on the back of the Golf Car (Rig a bracket) Then you can run 4-wire Trailer light wire from Front of Truck to back, and plug light bar into the "Extension" cable thus created.. in fact i really like that plan. Make sure you can LOCK the light bar in place.
