towing 4 down question
when towing a vehicle behind a DP what is the allowed amount of difference between the towbar and the bracket pins as far as height distance goes?

I just finished installing the ReadyBrute Elite towbar and Blue Ox base plate on my MH/Jeep Cherokee. When I measured the distance I noticed that it was almost 3 3/4 inches. The manufacturer recommends 4" max. The tow bar seems to be at quite an angle. I'm thinking I probably need a 2" drop receiver. Anyone agree or disagree?
