towing a 2010 dodge charger

Can anyone tell me if the 2010 Dodge Charger can be towed on a tow dolly -front end off ground...I am at a state park and the wi-fi is so bad it won't down load the dingy guide...My grand-daughter was told by U-Haul that it could be towed on a tow dolly and I am saying no...believe it is a rear drive...Need someone to verify either yes or not...it is an Automatic Transmission...thanks

  • I imagine the 2010 is like the 2007 which we tow. Tow setups are available for the V8 Hemi version. You will need a lube pump.

    Ours tows just fine.

what does your owner's manual say under recreational towing or towing behind a motorhome? I would guess the answer is NO. now somebody may post that they towed their 2011 for 300,000 miles and no problem, but do you feel lucky?

This info was for the Grand Daughter who is 800 miles from me.and could not find her owner's manual, I was in a State Park that didn't have wi-fi--so I turned to the experts...I try not to ask dumb A-- questions, but sometimes it is necessary...the reason I ask, the people at UHaul said she could tow dolly it with the front end up...wrong...wish some of these rental places would research before answering...they would make money renting the dolly but cost the renter a bunch...Thanks Bump

•Vehicle can be flat towed with Lube Pump Kit. Vehicle cannot be flat towed from Manufacturer as is.

•No Base Plate available from Blue Ox for this vehicle. May be Custom Application.

I hope this was some help....

  • They are not front wheel drive but are you sure it's not all wheel drive? Then it can't be tow dollied at all.

I'm pretty sure it's a rear wheel drive. If that's the case the answer is probably not, due to the drive shaft. You could just disconnect the drive shaft, but that would be a real pain. Maybe tow from the rear wheels front down? Weren't some of them AWD?

My Jeep has a transmission disconnect button (rear wheel drive) that you have to go through steps to discconnect the trans from the rear wheels. Are the any tiny buttons around your gear selector? Do you have the owners manual with you?
