- wa8yxmExplorer IIII am not a fan of Brake Buddy..
IF Remco Towing says you can tow it, with our without modification, then follow their instructions.
For the tow bar,, Ready Brute with Ready brake or Blue-Ox with Auto Stop are my suggestions... Both are good bars and take care of the brakes.
You will also need a tow light system... A diode kit is the most common.. Most Tow Bar places have those. HOWEVER if Remco says you need the LP-1 Lube pump... it is included. - howdy35Explorer IICheck your owners manual to see if it can be towed 4 down. I believe nothing newer than a 2004 accord can be towed 4 down because of the change of type of transmission in 2005.
Best of luck. - funbiz4allExplorerI'm sorry I was rather vague. My car is a 2007 honda accord 6cyl automatic front wheel drive. We will be going from PA, to CA the summer of 2015. And full timing in CA with a full time job.
- RayChezExplorerThe problem hauling a car around on a dolly is that some RV parks you are limited in the parking. Some you have to back into the tight spots and no place for the dolly.
- Dale_TravelingExplorer III four down tow a 1998 Accord Coupe. Four cylinder engine with an automatic transmission. Owner's manual has procedures to shift thru the range of gears to ensure it is in a true neutral.
You'll need a base plate, tow bar, and a (highly recommended) brake system. Also rear lights on the Accord for brakes, turn signals and night time running lights. I use a Ready Brute Elite tow bar with a Demco base plate. For lights I used a diode based system that uses the existing tail lights. All up budget around $1800 for planning purposes but add a couple hundred if you cannot install the base plate or lights yourself.
Costs add up quick which can make a used dolly a good bargain but a dolly will require a bit more effort when using. - Jack_KayExplorerWe have towed a 94 Accord with a manual tranny for about 3 years now. Really easy. We just bought a 2014 CR-V and have to get it rigged for towing.
- crassterExplorer IITow Dolly time. They are easy to use. The car should be small enough to tow behind the coach.
- tommy_gExplorerMy accord is automatic. Honda would not say that it was towable. I have towed it 50k plus so far without a problem. From 2013 model on you must use a tow dolly.

We have a 2011 Accord. It can only be towed with the front wheels off the ground.
That's why Accords are not listed in the Towing Guides -- they cannot be towed 4-down.
You need a tow dolly to tow an Accord.

unless its a manual tranny, then it can - RayChezExplorerWhat year is your Honda Accord? I have a 2013 Honda CRV front wheel drive that can be towed four down. And if it is towable, a Blue Ox base plate with the wiring kit will cost you around $400.00. Then they charged me $500.00 to install it and do the wiring so that the toad will have tail, stop lights that work at the same time as the coach. Now if you need the Blue Ox tow bar then that is another seven hundred dollars or you can probably get one for half that price at Ebay.
I believe I paid something like $1200.00 total when I first started RVing in 2003.
OH! I almost forgot. You got to have some kind of brake system and there are many types out there on the market. Some will cost as little as $500.00 to a high of $1200.00
