I have had Allstate for years never had issue where I needed them. Knock on wood. What I was wondering are they still the best ? Did anything change in the Insurance Towing world ?

I recommend Good Sam emergency Road Side service. I have had them 21 yrs. Allstate's and AAA primary towing service is for cars----------- not trucks and RV's. Check your Allstate towing plan, will they send out a 45' flat bed truck to wench up your trailer if needed, are they limited in the miles they tow you before they start charging by the mile? Will they only tow you to a qualified RV service facility that can actually fix your problem? Also check out the GS Travel Assist plan in the event you are unable to dirive your RV home for medical reasons? - crassterExplorer IIWe've always had really great results with Good Sam.
- doxiemom11Explorer IIDepends on what you want them to tow. We have a motorhome and have Coach Net. Good Sam is also a good one for an RV
- Dutch_12078Explorer IIJust as they do with their vehicle and other insurance type plans, Good Sam outsources their ERS:
Good Sam Enterprises and Allstate Roadside Services Extend Roadside Assistance Business Relationship Into 2019 - EffyExplorer IIWhen these posts comes up it seems the 2 that bubble to the top are Coachnet and GS. Both have their plusses and minuses. Likely splitting hairs. I like Coahnet personally as they seem to be ok with going out of their network if they have to as well as true 24/7 service. I've heard that GS will do this as well and I've also heard they won't. Not sure I know what the actual truth is. But I know from personal experience that Coachnet will in fact go out of their network. Coachnet's plans also cover every vehicle you own, just like a conventional RSA. Again not sure if GS does this.
- RoadsideGuyExplorerThanks Effy for your post. I wanted to quickly clarify 2 items: 1)Good Sam Roadside Assistance will go outside of network if needed to secure the correct service in a timely manner, and 2) and GSRA does cover all household vehicles as a part of the membership. Thanks again

I may be changing over as our MH is registered in MD and coachnet no longer offers service in MD due to legislation changes. Does GS still offer MD coverage?
May be a moot point as we are selling our MH but in the case we still have it. - RoadsideGuyExplorerGood Sam Roadside Assistance is available for purchase in all 50 States, plus all Canadian Provinces. Coverage extends to US, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and US Virgin Islands.
Thanks again. - Mile_HighExplorerWe had Allstate for years because they would also tow a trailered boat if your tow vehicle broke down, (AAA would not). There was one time that the wrecker service insisted on payment before tow from Allstate and they gave him a credit card number. The wrecker crew said they had trouble getting paid from Allstate. I didn't pass judgment because it may have been they just didn't come across Allstate that much.
We now have GS because it was 5 years free with our RV. They have been fantastic as well. - catkinsExplorer IIGood roadside assistance will tow you to an appropriate facility with no mileage limit. Be sure to read the fine print. Coach- Net is my choice based on years of good service and Good Sam often gets good reviews here too. Often depends upon the local service provider they send to you. Be SURE you provider deals with MHS/Trailers. Good luck!
