- bluwtr49Explorer III had Toyos that ran for 10 years until they were replaced by Hankooks. Both are great tires IMHO and you won't go wrong with either choice....might as well just shop price and not worry about it.

Toyo is better.
Actually, the Toyo's on my coach were manufactured in the USA. I replaced six side wall cracked Michelin's two years ago. We have put 16,000 miles on them. I am very pleased with the ride. I would buy them again. - mike_brezExplorerThe only set of Toyos I ever ran we're the open country on my suburban. They were a******tire to say the least. Never again.
- gboppExplorerI'm very satisified with the Hankook tires I put on our Southwind. I'll buy them again.
- farmer_bootsExplorerI purchased TOYO tires because of price and made in Japan and US both countries have very good process controls. Other manufactures like Hankook have production facilities in countries that have not always demonstrated good process controls (i.e China, Hungary, Korea...).
It is a personal choice and some what of a gamble whatever you choose but maybe you can stack to odds if you know the manufacturing source.
Check out the following two links:
Hankook: http://hankooktireusa.com/Comp/Companypf.aspx?pageNum=5&subNum=3&ChildNum=1. As you read through the history you see they are made all over the world as stated above.
Toyo: http://toyotires.com/about-us/history. Reading through the history it looks like they are manufactured in the US and Japan.
Good luck - wny_pat1Explorer

Toyo is better. - The_TexanExplorerThe Hankook AH-12/AH-11 is IMO as good if not better than the Toyo, in truck(coach) sizes. However, on our pickup, Hankook wins hands down. I had Toyo Open Country on the truck and they lasted 28K miles and were EXTREMELY noisy. Replaced them with Hankook DynaPro and would NEVER go back to a Toyo Open country LT tire.

- BigdogExplorerI have toyo's on the rear of my MH and they are feeling good. I replaced the Michelins with them as the difference was over $1,000 at my Les Schwab.I call them that because I owe them so much money. The FMCA price was close on the michelins, but they charged from $350 to $450 labor for mounting and balancing the four tires and I would have had to drive a minimum of 90 miles r/t and that would have added another $50 in fuel.. We have Hankooks,Osta and Goodyear 626 on our Thomas school buses.
I think it's a case of rolling the dice with the better tires. I have had toyo's on all of my vehicles for a really long time and never had a problem. - CoachPotatoExplorerYears ago before I retired and was a productive citizen, I had lot sweeping as part of my business. We ran a couple of small lot sweepers and that is a great way to test tires. The sweeper is turning all night long and it's murder on tires.
We went through a lot of tires. I bought Hankooks sometimes and Toyos other times and didn't see that one outlasted the other by any great margin.
That's been over almost 20 years ago, so this may not mean a thing...:(
