TPMS for coach and toad

I want to buy a set of TPMS. On Amazon there is a 10 piece set by TireTech and another by EEZ. Has anyone used these brands and will they work with my 34ft m/h without a repeater?? Also are the flow thru's really necessary or are the cap type better?

Thanks for your opinions, John
  • I bought the TST507 to replace the piece of **** TireDawg model I originally had. Much better performance! Got the flow through sensors for the coach and the non-flow through for the toad so they didn't stick out as far. The coach is right at 40' and I read everything without the range extender. Occasionally lose the reading from the left rear sensor on the toad (farthest away) but that's not really been a big enough issue to spur me into buying and installing the extender.
  • I just purchased and installed the EEZTire on my 36' Damon and it works great. I'm impressed with the ease of set up and big graphics on the monitor which makes reading it going down the road a breeze.

I didn't get the repeater and although I've only used it on a couple trips so far I haven't seen where I've lost any connection with the sensors.
  • Thanks to all for the input. I looked at other threads and on other forums and have placed an order. A hope they work as advertised.
  • The EEZ RV gets good reviews. I haven't come across any bad ones yet. I'm getting that to replace my crummy Doran 360RV. I had a bad experience with TST. What ever you get, get the extender.

BTW, the EEZ RV is cheaper then the TST and is the same price for the regular sensors and flo through.

I particularly like that their electronics are made in Germany rather then China.
  • And now that you have posted that you do not have a TPMS, you will likely get a PM from a vendor/re-seller who lurks here trying to sell you one.
  • There are some/many better than others.

  • Yes, please search. There are more like 10,000 replies on the subject.

That said, alot of things aside from just distance/length can interfere with TPMS sensor signals: Nav systems, wireless thermometers, other electronics - even the systems that emergency vehicles use to control traffic lights.

The problem with losing a sensor's signal is that many/most TPMS systems keep looking for the signal without alerting you that the signal has been lost. It can be up to an hour before you know your monitor has lost your sensor's signal.

Alot can happen in an hour.

No matter what TPMS I use on anything bigger/longer than my SUV, I'm going to use a repeater/booster. I want to give my TPMS (and all my safety equipment) the best possible chance to work as well as it possibly can.

It doesn't so much matter which TPMS system you get - just get one!

(Not an advert - My opinion only)
  • No disrespect....but did you do a search on this subject. If not, give it a shot as this subject comes up daily and there are probably 1000 replies.

    good luck
