I had one of mine do weird things recently. It was on an inner dual with an extender. I had installed them only a week or two beforehand.
I was getting ready to pack up one morning after a 4 day stay, and I turned on the monitor and checked all the tires. One of the inner tires on the rear was reading 100 psi. I had them filled to 90, and this was early enough in the morning that 100 seemed abnormal. Then I retracted the jacks and the monitor started beeping at me. Now that tire read 30 psi. Uh oh....
I unscrewed the sensor, and tested it with a different pressure gauge which read 90. Then I screwed it back on, and it also read 90 psi just like it should have. It's been going strong ever since. All I can guess is that it wasn't screwed on right, and was susceptible to "jiggle". Pretty sure that's a technical term, right?
