Could be that particular TS doesn't have anyone trained/qualified to fill on-board propane tanks safely. Would you prefer someone getting hurt or possibly killed while attempting to satisfy you? :S
No, absolutely not. But the reason given wasn't "We aren't trained. The reason given was, "Because it isn't removed from the vehicle."

I always fill my LP at private campgrounds. I probably pay a bit more but it supports them. I never go too much below 1/2 tank when I refill and they are always polite and appreciate the business.
I agree, but we are using the RV to go skiing. We stay in the bus lot, so there is no campground to fill at..

It sounds like some retraining of a local manager is in order.

When confronted with situations where local businesses do not perform in accordance with advertised procedures, I get on the internet, get a number for the home office and give them a call and ask about it. They are usually receptive to questions constructive criticism etc. Sounds like the store manager just doesn't know. Done politely a call to corporate just may help train him.I have done this on quite a few instances and have had a lot of success.
I agree, and I have done this. I'm waiting to hear back from the District Manager. I was/am hoping that someone can direct me to something that states definitively that it can be filled so I can refer him to it. Or something that states definitively that it can't be filled so that I can offer my apologies.
Can anyone list the TSC's where they HAVE been able to fill the permanent tanks on their RV?
