Traded my'08 Hurricane 34B for '08 Fleetwood Bounder 38P

Well I went ahead and traded my '08 Hurricane 34B with the Ford chassis for an '08 Fleetwood Bounder 38P with the 24000 workhorse chassis . Hope I made a good decision . The Hurricane was trouble free for the 2 years we owned it but we just were not happy with the quality and materials used in the coach plus we found that the bunks , for us , were a waste of space . I'm just hoping the fuel mileage is as good with the workhorse , while towing our Jeep Wrangler , as the Ford was .
  • Bounders are nice motorhomes, I got a 08 33ft with the Ford chassis, I had the workhorse in my last motorhome, the 8.1 is about as equal as the new V-10's in mpg and Hp.

However your weight is much more now, so don't expect the same mpg.
  • We have a 2004 35S Bounder. If you can find the best sweet spot, our is 58-60MPH at just under 2000RPM gives us 8.5 to 9.5MPG. Great power and tow a Dingy. The quality and material in the Fleetwood is far superior to Damon products.
