Trailer Brake Controler

I have a 2006 Pleasure-Way Plateau TS with hitch and wiring but no controller. Pleasure-Way tells me that is pre-wired for the controller. Does anyone know where the wires may terminate so I can install a controller?

  • Search the internet, the wiring on the Sprinter is multiplexed. As I recall when we did our Plateau TS is that you have to tap into electrical wiring under the drivers seat. I also remember ours not having the seventh wire in the harness to the trailer plug. It wasn't hard to do, but a bit time consuming.

When I added a brake controller to my Dodge truck, the shop sold me an adaptor wire to plug into the chassis electrical system. Mount the controller, plug the wire into the hsrness and run a wire from the junction to the plug on the back.
  • I'd check eTrailer's videos on YouTube. I saw one of them that showed a TBC installation in decent detail on a Sprinter.
