Transmission fluid type
I have 1976 Dodge F40 motorhome and I'm trying to find out what type of transmission fluid to use in it

Type F. But in reality any atf will work in an old slush box. However I’d stay away from synthetic and newer fluids that are high in detergents.
But you don’t say whether it’s a rebuild, or drain n fill or flush or just adding because it’s low.
The answer could be different depending what you’re adding fluid for but type F will work for all.
