Transmission key pad won't lite up? Won't start
99 monaco Windsor, where do I begin, batteries are good, I can start it by jumping across the solenoid but have no idea where to begin on the trans key pad issue? Help

When I turn the key on, the key pad doesn't lite up so the neutral safety switch doesn't allow it to start. I jumper across the starter solenoid jut to make sure it wasn't a battery issue. It looks like the trans just doesn't have power. Sometimes it does and works fine, then all of a sudden , stops working again......
I have no idea how all the wires are run or where the trans gets it's power from....
