Transmission key pad won't lite up? Won't start
99 monaco Windsor, where do I begin, batteries are good, I can start it by jumping across the solenoid but have no idea where to begin on the trans key pad issue? Help

Let's rule out the IGNITION SOLENOID. Turn the key on. Do the rest of the dash warning lights illuminate? Does the dash HVAC fan operate (or any other item that only operates with the ignition on. If not, suspect the ignition solenoid. If not, move on.
