As an update, I left the battery on the charger overnight. The next morning, the voltage was still 14.5 volts. The charger was slightly warm to the touch - I assume from supplying some amperage to some items running - like the CO detector, etc.
The battery appeared to be room temperature - I could not detect it being warm.
To be safe, I unplugged the shore power and hit the disconnect switch, so it will stay dark until next time I use the van.
