going to install traveler sat. dish for my 2007 Fleetwood bounder do I need to buy the reinforcement plate or is this over kill

That is not correct. The roofing material is not at issue, only the roof structure. However, if you mount this antenna on a coach with a rubber roof a small (3" x 4" or so) landing plate is required where the roller rests on the roof.
