- TreeSeekerExplorerI just found that peanut oil works great on removing pine sap at least. I haven't tried it on any other tree sap. If you don't have peanut oil just use peanut butter.
- tchilExplorerWD-40 works really well on tree sap as well. Especially when it gets on my kids hands.

Cheap, readily available, and cleans like a white tornado...........And it won't hurt the paint......just don't use it on an EPDM or TPO roof and if you do, do so in moderation.
You just need a modicum of common sense so you don't splode yourself, and don't smoke. - BumpyroadExplorerthe commercial tar removers I checked today all said petroleum distillates, some with an added surfactant.
bumpy - lots2seeinmyrvExplorerTR3 Resin Glaze, will get road tar off too. Have used this for 30 years on the car, truck and trailer.
Clicky - loggenrockExplorerI've been using non-abrasive Goop hand cleaner. Dab some on the sap, let it sit, it softens it up - fingernail if needed - wipe off. Figure it's also taking my wax off the hood, so after sap removal, I re-wax the hood. On dry, old sap that has hardened, if you're really careful, you can use a razor blade style scraper. ST
