If in Arizona be sure to go inside so you can get the light Diesel price.
Never heard of doing that. Is it much cheaper?
I also have never heard of 'light diesel'..... There is only one pump for diesel. I need Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel at 15ppm.
The clerk will ask for a truck number and I say we're a private vehicle. They never has for light or heavy.
If they did, I would say I'm heavier than I would like to be but if you think I'm light, I won't argue. LOL!
MM.
Anyone who has spent anytime in Arizona will know what I am talking about.
Diesel fuel that is used in large trucks subject to the tax is called heavy diesel and the diesel for light duty private trucks such as pick ups and motor homes is called light diesel.
Yes it is all the same fuel but their are separate pumps. Heavy diesel pumps which are programmed for the extra 8 cent tax. Light diesel pumps for pickups and motor homes that are not programmed for the extra 8 cent tax.
If you buy your fuel at the truck stop pumps you will be charged the 8 cent tax and as I indicated you can request a refund if you prove what you put the "heavy diesel" in. But you pay the 8 cent tax and extra effort is required to get the money back.
