Trying to find this skylight part

Hello,

Just bought a used 30' Class C and getting it fixed up for some adventures. I have managed to google search my way to finding nearly everything I need but I have something that I cannot find.

Trying to replace the inner frame of my skylight in the shower, the previous one is super brittle and is all cracked. It looks like this is just a cover for the insulation of the roof for the skylight hole.

anybody know where I can find that piece? Just need the inner plastic braket thingamabob

Thanks for the help :)

From reading your post what I think you want is called "skylight inter dome" or "skylight garish" If so look like any of these in link
    https://www.google.com/search?q=rv+skylight+garnish+trim+ring&biw=1188&bih=541&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjS8tvW--PMAhVL4YMKHWVCCAsQ_AUIBygC

If so call up your RV place and tell them chapter 22 of NTP book. Common part to get within a week but you will have to provide exact size. So might have to bring in old with you.

Having replaced a skylight last year when I do my annual inspection I now remove them to get a better look up in rafters. Also if you have to go with bigger size, make sure you don't have any wires in the way first.

  • Forget googling for the part.

Look up a camping store near you or just go to any RV dealership. They will either have it in their customer parts store up front or they can order it and will have it for you the next day. AND it will be the correct replacement part.

It's a common part that fails so the shelves will most likely be filled with the replacement. :W
  • Welcome to the Forum.

In your profile or signature you should include the specifics of your RV. Mfg, make, model, engine, possibly the length & transmission and year. This will help people find an answer for you, especially from people that have the same RV as you do.

For something like this the first place I'd go is to my MH mfg, but then a lot of them have gone out of business.
