Two comments: Usually the solenoid (Relay in this case) is located in the outlet assembly where the TV plugs in..
To bypass.. Move plug to a different outlet.
Now; As a side effect of who pays for my retirement I have to tell you this:
Driving with said TV active may entitle you to a meeting with one of the more honored membrs of the community where you are spotted driving.. In fact he (or she) is so honored that you will use this form of adress: Your Honor.
