Some TV's need the remote to be paired with it much the same ways as a bluetooth device to a cell phone. Or it could be as others have posted and the remote is using the wrong code for the TV. Best solution is find the Sony model numbers and than search out the user manual to determine exactly what you'll need to do to get the TV's to work properly.
