Shocking off rig is normally associated with a broken ground wire in shore power cord. If using adapter check it!
Most likely bad fuel pump. Not sure how Fords are wired to provide initial fuel pump operation when in start mode. My GM has a fuel pump relay that runs for a few seconds to charge system, then the fuel pump power runs through the oil pressure sending unit.
