The US does not use metric so the 26000lb. is a limit only in some states. Michigan, for example does not have this requirement and with our Mich. drivers license we are legal all over the USA. Canada is supposedly metric but still uses 8 ft. 2X4s in construction and a lot of other measurements. You would lose a small fortune buying any RV in Canada and then crossing the border to sell it. RVs are just a lot higher priced in Canada. I also have a Roadtrek 19' MH that was made in Canada and they sell for a lot less in the US than in Canada. Maybe turn your trip around and start in the South an go North.
