uncomfortable driving class a dp

I have a 2002 Endeavor DP, my right hip bothers me after I drive about 30 miles, I know I can use the cruse and I do when I can. I have moved the seat in all kinds of position's with no help. Seems like I have to keep my leg more to the right for the Gas pedal. The gas pedal looks to me like it is setting to the right a little. It does not bother me to drive my F150 or my CRV Toad. I know I am not getting any younger, does any one have any suggestions. Thanks Roy

  • My Dutchstar throttle is a little further to the right than I would prefer also. I haven't found it to cause me any issues, except that it is noticeable when I first drive it after a few weeks off.

If the seat is centered behind the steering wheel I wouldn't relocate it, but would see if you can't do something about the pedal placement.

Obviously the seats in our MH's are designed for multiple uses, both driving and seating while parked. This approach doesn't really provide a great seat for either use, in my opinion. Replacing the current seat with one designed for long haul truckers would be a good solution, but you may have a difficult time matching it to the remaining passenger seat. Or that may not matter to you.
  • Have an adapter made to off set the seat to the right where it is comfortable or install a new seat more to the right. I suspect the seat needs replacing as I have sat in a friends Journey and the seat is uncomfortable to me.
  • Different seat?

I have heard from pro truck drivers that air ride seats are the way to go, still comfortable even after driving 10 hours.

    Try sitting on a pillow.

  • My daughter is a sales rep and spends hours at a time in her vehicle. When she had hip pain a few years ago, the chiropractor suggested putting a ball, (6") between her knee and the door of the vehicle, thereby straightening out her sitting position. And it worked! BTW she is only 40,
