Unexpected engine failure (shut down) 1994 Ford 460 V8

Fuel pump here also..runs ..stops.. cools down and runs again. Had this happen on our old '98 Intruder 460 in 2005 and our 2004 B+ 6.0 V8 Chevrolet in 20012. Both were in the fuel tank and both cost between $800-$900 to repair, after tanks removed, drained, cleaned, new pump with in-tank filter and partially filled with 10 gallons of premium fuel.
