We use the unified tow brake and have used in on 2 coaches and 3 cars. It is still working as it is supposed to. The wiring can all be installed very neatly to the point where it is barely visible. The only place I had difficulty on my present car was finding a place to get the wires through the firewall. The coach wiring on both was not difficult. I do not know anything about the skid plate or Demco tow brackets but the unified tow brake by US Gear has been a good brake system for us. If the wiring is done poorly, that is the fault of the installing technician, not the brake system. Hope this will help, Happy Trails Bert
