I wouldn't run it that hot for fear of engine damage. My high engine temps occurred at speeds between 35 and 60 mph and usually at rpm's over 3,000 in 2nd or 3rd gears at throttle angles over 60% with outside air temps as low as 68 degrees. We went to Parker Az a few weeks ago and only saw engine temps at 230-235 when pulling Chiriaco(sic) Summit in 112 degree temps. All the rest of the trip in those hot temps my rig ran between 200 and 210 degree water temp.
