Just measured it - 73 1/2" - that's the forward area - it gets a little tighter in the back area and that's OK with me as I don't mind being the one to crawl over and he doesn't mind it either.
DH might have shrunk a little in the getting old(er) thing... But, I'm not gonna be the one to tell him. He fits head to toe - no bending of the knees. Lucky he doesn't mind a tight fit!
