Places that actually do installs can help a lot. Best Buy for example, has racks and racks of wiring adapter in their installation garage, just find your way back there with the old radio in hand and make nice to the tech.
Crutchfield online has all this stuff too, but then you have to know what you are looking for. I did a new radio and 4 speakers for my jeep from them, it was easy to get all the right stuff to hook everything up without cutting or splicing anything.
