Everyone that has a DP will tell you that a DP is the only way to go. Maybe there is a reason for that. I don't know because I have only owned Gassers.
So here is a post for the gasser: I love mine. It has an aluminum roof so to me that was a HUGE plus. It rides nice and is not real loud inside when driving. It is everything that we needed in a coach for this part of our lives. We have about 12 years until retirement so we use our MH as a weekender and a 2 week a year vacation home. For that it is perfect. The lower purchase price and the lower maintenance cost helps me put more money away over the next 10+ years. That too was important for me.
So if your usage is similar to mine then a gasser will be fine.
When I do retire I will asses my needs and then buy what makes the most sense for us. If my needs are once a year driving from Mass to Florida I may still stick with the gasser. If we are going to drive more than that I may have to Diesel up.
