You don't find gas engines in 18 wheelers as they have to haul 40-80,000. Pounds normally !
So if you need towing power buy a stinky diesel.
Also, 18 wheelers have the engines in the front, for a reason! Stays cool, not many fires, see you tube for overheat rear bus fires.
I do agree that they may be a bit quieter up front, but my new Tiffin gasser is quite nice, and my buddy is a ford mechanic, if I need him.
Buy what you like, after a test drive! And make sure that the Wife likes the floor plan.
