If you're considering "power enhancements" for the engine don't forget the transmission. I'm not sure of the output torque of the 1st generation of the V10, or the maximum input torque for the EO4d transmission. I do know the second generation V10 torque output was 425 ft. lbs., and the maximum input torque for the 4R100 transmission was 450 ft. lbs. Be sure the transmission can handle the additional torque and horsepower.
Where did you get that torque rating for the 4r100?
I may be wrong but my belief was the 4r100 was rated at 1,000 lb-ft of torque and the 4r70 was 700 lb-ft of torque etc...
Actually, I just considered that perhaps you are referring to the torque before the TC. You are probably right in that case but I wonder how the same 20 bolt 4r100 is just fine for the diesels on the "same" F-550 platform.
In any case, the transcommand in the Banks setup is supposed to address this by dynamically increasing the hydraulic pressure and firming up the shifts.
Also, I don't believe there was ever a V10 on the F53 mated to an Eo4d.
