FWIW, I just took a look at the Pursuit and it's specs.
From just a boondock camping perspective, here's some observations:
- It indeed does appear short and narrow for going to intimate camp sites on smooth surface roads.
- It's ground clearance looks marginal due to body side panels being very close to the ground ... boondock roads with track ruts may be a problem.
- It's fresh, black, and grey tank capacities are somewhat small.
- The propane furnace capacity could be a bit larger for unexpected cold snaps.
- The swiveling passenger seat is outstanding for interior comfort when trapped inside during foul weather.
- Why only a 40 gallon fuel tank? Most motorhomes using the E350 chassis have a 55 gallon fuel tank.
- Propane capacity is excellent for boondocking in a small motorhome ... 80% times 18 gallons.
- It's built-in Onan generator is the full 4000 watt model (instead of the smaller 2800 watt model seen on some small motorhomes) ... good for extended A/C use in hot and/or humid environments at any altitude while also wanting to use the microwave.
- It's overall length versus it's wheelbase length should provide for a modest rear overhang ... for pretty good rear end clearance in traversing wash-out depressions on mild boondock roads.
I wonder if Pleasure-Way would build one on the Ford E450 chassis (for improved ground clearance, low end gearing, braking, transmission cooling, frame rigidness, and lateral stability)?
