Lots of good input here. Everyone uses their RV differently. For people that pull a boat to a lake for the weekend and use the RV as a lake house, a big motorhome is a good solution. On the other hand, IMHO for a retried couple traveling all over the country, smaller is better. With a big motorhome or trailer, you pretty much have to go from point A to point B, "big rig friendly" parks then run around in a car or tow vehicle. We traveled in a true class B and really enjoyed the mobility. Very often, on the way to our destination we stopped at really cool places for a few hours then continued on our way. This is how we visited Niagara Fall, Gettysburg, El Morro National Monument in NM, etc., etc. Our van had a shower but my bride didn't like it so we usually relied on campground showers which are seldom very nice.
Our needs are different now and I think we will enjoy the extra comfort of a B+ and can still have 75% of the mobility of a true Class B.
