Use of generator while going down the road?
Our generator is spoiled due to lack of use. The carburetor needs to be replaced and some minor servicing as well. I know we are supposed to "exercise" the generator every month, but we hate using it...

We do it all the time with our '05 RT190P. We use it for the refrigerator and in the summer months we use it to run the air conditioner, never a problem. You just paid a hefty price for the repair, and the tech is giving you good advice. As for running in a cg, we never do, but we use it on the road. As for gas mileage, I really haven't noticed any appreciable difference, but it keeps the generator in good working order. Safe travels.
