No matter how much longer one's RV may last, on a philosophical or futurist note I wonder how many more years we are going to be able to drive vehicles for purely fun and recreational purposes that pollute the upper atmosphere by using gas or diesel fuel at a 6-14 MPG rate?
I see all those little tiny high mileage sedans/SUVs buzzing around me when we're on an RV trip and I just wonder how much longer laws and/or EPA rules will allow me to keep this up going forward ... even if I can somehow continue to afford the fuel? Does how much longer I can make our RV last only mean how much longer it may wind up just sitting in the back yard - no longer being allowed on public roads, unsellable except as junk, and rotting away?
It's already getting more and more difficult - due to laws, rules, and various requirements - to keep our 1995 ancient 350 V8 engined pickup truck legally on the road. Good luck on that much longer too with, say, an old 460 V8 engined Class C that otherwise might be in excellent condition.
