using furnace while driving
My Dash blower stopped working until I can get it looked at can I run the propane furnace for heat while driving to stay warm. Thanks for the input trying to stay warm while heading south.

All those devises have spark ignitors that can trigger whether the propane is on or not. Spark ignitors plus gasoline fumes.....
Slight hi-jack. What?? I see it mentioned nowhere in any of my manuals that I need to take precautions to this level when fueling. Please explain, if you don't mind.
The concern is that just valving propane out at source and not turning the propane fired appliance off the spark electrode/ignitor can continue to spark.
Spark can ignite gas fumes.
That's why I leave my propane fired appliances running..no spartking.
But that's me.

This depends on where your furnace is with respect to the gas pump. When I pull up to a pump for fuel my furnace couldn't be any closer to the gas pump. While not sparking when it's on, it is an open flame and a pretty decent one at that. Because of that I turn my furnace off when fueling. Other than that I leave it on while travelling. Leaving today for a trip to Fla, but it's 5 degrees here in MD. So you bet I will be running my furnace probably until I get to Ga. There is no way you can keep a coach warm in sub freezing temps with the dash heat alone, Let alone keeping the plumbing from freezing. I bought a MH to travel in comfort, that means all utilities are on (water, heat/AC, electric, fridge, Tv's if my passengers want, etc). Otherwise what's the point?
