If my RV had "only" cost me $1.47/mile to operate I would be so wealthy that I would be throwing dollar bills out the window hoping to help those less fortunate. My RV gets about 5 MPG so just starting the engine is going to cost me about .40/mile. I am pretty sure that there are a whole lot of number that have been left out when the OP said that it had only cost him $1.47/mile to own his RV.
