- harley-daveExplorerWe also put in metal blinds to replace our old day/nights. We decided to leave the valences because it looked more complete with the blinds. We recovered them to be more modern looking and match the newer upholstery.
Dave - KeepOnCampingExplorerWe removed all the blinds and valances from our old trailer (since sold) a few years ago. Replaced with a curtain rod and rings. Filled in the holes and the new curtains hid the old holes. Wife made new curtains. We loved the look. So much brighter! Had no issues at all.
- yankee_camperExplorerJust my 2 cents but I went thru 2 sets of blinds in my trailer within 1 year before it ever moved an inch. They were decent blinds (I think) from Lowes and looked great but after a couple of months the cord would bind up and not go up or down evenly if at all. I can't imagine what bouncing up and down the road would do? All total I blew about $200 bucks before I just put shades up. Maybe/hope your experience will be better than mine.
- janstey58ExplorerTypically if you look up inside the valance near the walls you will see mounting screws. You will need to remove the valance to work on the shades. We have MCD shades with valances and they work very well.
