Just replaced my Michelins. I have five Michelin 275/70 R22.5 XZA2 tires for sale. Has anyone had luck selling the used tires ? Can you advise a good asking price. They have a lot of tread left. They have 30,500 miles on them, maunfactured in 2008. No cracks in the sidewalls. Are these tires that would only be purchased by another RV owner or will they appeal to truckers ? Any advice appreciated.

How much liability do you want to assume?????? Personally, if the dealer who installed the new ones makes you ANY offer, that would be your best bet (from a liability standpoint).

Yes, I am aware of Craigslist. I was seeking information that might give me a clue what they will bring per tire, what to ask when I post them on Craigslist. Thought someone here might have sold their used RV tires.

I've purchased used RV tires from a tires store in AZ in an emergency. I had two tires let go, and there wasn't a new tire within 100 miles. I paid $15 per tire including mounting, and they were still in pretty good shape. As soon as I got to a tire store that had new tires, I swapped them out and even had to pay a disposal fee to get rid of them. Now they weren't 22.5" tires, but they sure weren't asking a lot of money for some decent looking used tires.

$50-$100 bucks a tire...sold my Goodyears two years ago for $100 each..no haggling....took me two hours on CL....Dennis

My uncle put 2 new tires on his DP and I thought he was nuts for taking the old ones back to Iowa.
I think he ended up getting $200 each for farming vehicles. Probably grain trucks or something like that.

List them for what you would like to get plus say 25%. $125-$100 would be a good starting point. Lots of commercial users can use them. Just don't list them in the RV section of Craig's List. The Auto Parts section will get more looks from you potential buyers.

Sold all my old ones to some guy who had a fiver. The tires he had were almost bald and ready to go. To him, my older tires with lots of tread were like new tires. Craiglist.

If the size is right, there are many people that can use them. The 16" tires that were removed from my MH are the same size as on my Grand Cherokee, so that's where they went. The Grand Cherokee is about 1/4 the weight of the MH, so the stresses on the tires are much less, and they are load rated "E" as well.
No reason a trucker wouldn't be able to safely use your take-offs for low-speed applications.

When we bought 8 new Michelin tires through the FMCA program, the tire company gave me $50 each for my 7 yr. old take-off's. They had 57,000 miles on them.
