After considering if I can put a bolt through, I realize that this is not going to work for the following reasons.
1. You can not make room for the wiring!
2. If you put a bolt straight through even with a lock nut there is a good chance it might not be strong enough to hold the mirror out. Hence why there is such a large spring compressed there!!
3. If I put bolts through the side of the door and the mirror I then will not be able to close the door back in.
If anybody else has any other ideas on how to fix the problem without buying a new one let me know. Thanks again.
ALSO, DOES FORD MAKE A MIRROR AS WIDE AS THE VELVAC? 102 inch
