Veterans Day

I feel very uncomfortable when people thank me for my service. I no not how to respond. I enlisted as an 18 year old kid from the south end of a major city. Was 4 A and could not get a job. 1963 and no one had heard of Vietnam the Army would threaten us by saying they would send us to Laos. 2 years later we know the rest.

I now do pro bone veterans work and have been presiding officer several times in veterans organization,. I serve on Vets Day Committee and enjoy feeding the homeless on New Years Eve. Amateur Night. The day forgotten to feed the homeless.
