vinyl flooring

I plan to install adhesive backed vinyl flooring in my M/H. I want to use a good quality flooring that has a wood look to it. I would like to know what brand you recommend and do you think it will go over excessing vinyl flooring in kitchen and bath without removing old vinyl?

  • I used the allure planks (and have 8 cases left as we decided not to pull up the tile in the kitchen and baths). If you are near Gainesville I can show you the results (2 planks "shrunk" leaving a gap but that was my install error). I also did the vertical stairway and sliding cover.

best thing to do is resheet all your floor area u want to cover and then use the authentic vinyl planking that you glue down.I have done a couple units this way.looks very nice and better job, although way more work between new sheeting and spreading glue etc
  • Armstrong still makes excellent sheet vinyl. The problem with installing over the existing cheaply made vinyl is the cheap stuff tends to split. The splitting would ruin your new flooring.
