Is a tow behind vehilce needed when visiting Yellowstone? We were planning on going there on our "big" first trip with the new to us motorhome and have not planned on pulling a vehicle. Can you see enough and get by with walking/bicycling?
No, it's not a park to get around by walking/biking. It's too huge...unless you pack a tent and stay at one of many campgrounds in the park as you travel. Walking - absolutely not. You didn't say what size motorhome you have but parking for a motorhome would be very limited in the park. The park is very crowded and a lot of the pull-offs are small. Best to tow a car or rent a car or just take a tour bus.
