Voyager rear camera

On my motor home I have installed a Voyager AOM681 Flat Panel color back up camera. It came from factory. I have noticed the picture over the years has gotten pretty bad and I believe it is the camera on the rear. I have tried to find a replacement camera but no luck. Has any others replaced just the camera on the rear and if so which one did you use.
  • You can get a replacement camera from RVCams. Call or email Tim Lazroe : Tim@RVCams.com or To call (Toll Free Phone) 877-378-2267 you can pay with Visa or Mastercard. Good Luck

I gave up trying to figure out whether it was the camera or the monitor and bought this whole package for $52.48 to replace our original, that went south with intermittent problems.

Works well, but don't really get the night vision like the old infra-red black and white model.
Hardly ever drive at night, anyway.
Still for a price that can't be beat, I'm more than happy with it.
Even though the camera is a lic plate mount, I managed to screw it on to a piece of alum. and install it where the other was located in a rear closet, where it points out the back and through a small window.
As shown and included with my purchase, was the wireless kit and just in case I couldn't get the existing wiring to work correctly.
However, I was able to do so, with the hard wiring.
I did test the wireless product also and it worked well in the driveway.
Didn't return it, because for the price, the restocking fee, wasn't cost effective.
Never know, when I might need it, anyway.
  • Have you cleaned the lens or glass cover? Clean as you would eye glasses.
  • Sometimes you just gotta wonder where the OP runs off to, after their original post and without a word to those who tried to help.
