Wahoo! I'm about to join the Class B Family!

Hello All!

Some of you on here have been helping me for months in my search to get a class B RV to full-time in as I tour the country. I'm a female singer/songwriter and I do house concerts but haven't been able to put together much of a tour these past few years, because I never have a place to sleep/eat/shower that is affordable between weekend gigs! I have been looking for about 11 months for the perfect combination of my price range $16-$22K, miles (I wanted less than 50K) and vehicle's age (hopefully nothing older than a 2001). It's not easy to find something though that fits that criteria! Everything was either the right price but way too many miles - or low miles and the right price but very very old.

I came close many times! But I'm glad to say that I've finally found my RV!!! It's a 2004 Roadtrek 190 Popular with just 29,000 miles on it and I'm getting it for... drum roll please.... $22,000! I've very very proud of this - because I know this RV should easily be going for $32-35,000 - its practically new - and I'm buying it from a little old couple who need to sell it. I just happened to catch their add on CL - they are half way across the country but that doesn't matter to me with this deal!

And Here's the best part! :) I've been talking to them since May and was going to get a loan to pay for the RV - I had everything worked out, papers signed with them, had the RV checked out by an independent mechanic as well as an RV inspection (PIP) - and I go to get my loan and I am denied for being self-employed! This was right after I had just finished paying off my last car loan and with 780 credit! But they still said no :( So I had to tell the owners I couldn't buy it. Well, a few weeks passed and they called me back. It turns out we'd become such good friends talking for the many weeks about the RV - that they'd gotten to know me and wanted to see if we could work something out. They said they loved the idea of a brave woman touring the country in their RV and playing music, and had grown attached to me and wanted to see me succeed!

So I asked them if they'd consider holding the RV for me and letting me make payments. We drew up a contract, and I've begun making payments. I took all the money I had, sold many of belongings, and was able to come up with $10,000. I am now going to get two minimum wage jobs to come up with another $7,000 between now and October, and I'll be selling me car on my way to the airport to pay for the rest.

I'm very excited because it gives me plenty of time to set up my tour, sell the rest of my things, release my album, learn about living in an RV etc and know that my RV is waiting for me safe and sound. Plus I can pay them like I would a "loan" - its sort of a miracle!

So hooray for me!!!! I'm so excited! Anybody out there own a 2004 Roadtrek 190 Popular on a Dodge Chassis? I'd love to chat with you!!
