The above resorts mentioned have lots that are sold individually and put into a rental pool.
Motorcoach Country Club has 424 spaces and Desert Shores has 141 spaces. There are many more luxury resorts in the area not mentioned. Across from MCC is the Outdoor Resorts with 419 spaces. The Las Vegas Resort has 407 spaces.
The three major Prevost converters probably build 50 new coaches every year combined. In 10 yrs. that 500+ converted coaches looking for a nice resort to visit or buy a lot.
Bill, splurging for a night or two at one of these resorts would be a great treat! Life is short!
MM.
I have stayed at nearly every resort mentioned expect Petowsky (just haven't been in that area since it was built). Not one was worth the price paid IMHO. I like a pool and a spa if I am staying for awhile but I can get all of that at a very nice RV park for so much less. I also used to own an RV lot in a park in FL. The rental pool is a joke for the owners and the renters still pay a high price as it is set by the RV Park and not the lot owner. It might help pay your monthly fees but usually it's not even enough for that.
I was lucky to get out of that lot years ago and I try to avoid all of the "resorts" that are based upon RV ownership. The ongoing costs are way to high compared to the usage most owners get from them. The resale market is often a loss for the owners and the "one-upmanship" from lot to lot can be sickening. I'm all about letting folks who have it spend it, it's just not for me.
